Middleham Stables Open Day - 19 April 2019
Middleham is famous for horseracing and is the leading training centre in the North of England. The Open Day is being held on Good Friday.
Dales Festival of Food and Drink - June 2019
Free festival staged in Leyburn Market Place with additional events around and about all within walking distance.
Leyburn 1940s' Weekend - 20 & 21 July 2019
A weekend of 1940s' nostalgia, fun and laughter as Leyburn steps back in time and why not catch the stream train from Redmire station? Dancing and singing in the street and pavement theatre by Leyburn Amateur Dramatic Society. Re-enactors from all over the country choose Leyburn for a friendly atmosphere, great participation by the local community and a well-organised weekend.
Wensleydale Agricultural Show - 24 August 2019
Wensleydale Agricultural Show is a traditional dales show, located close to Leyburn. There’s something for everyone of all ages, with arena entertainment, showing classes for farm animals (you may see some of ours in attendance!) and categories for home baking and gardening, stalls and refreshments. There is usually an entertainment spectacular in the main arena to provide entertainment for all the family. A Dales event not to be missed!
Wensleydale Railway Specials – May, December
WensleyAle beer and music festival will once again be held over the late May Bank Holiday. Tornado will be hauling trains over that weekend too.
In December, Santa Specials will depart every weekend starting form Saturday 1st of December until Christmas Eve. Take a magical winter wonderland adventure into The Yorkshire Dales and meet the main man himself!
